Introduction

Hello everybody! My name is Hannah Hemming and I’m currently a junior at CU studying psychology. Before this, the only writing class I have taken was Writing and Rhetoric freshman year in my dorm. I choose this specific writing course because I am very interested in learning more about how technology has changed the way we engage ourselves in the world during the 21st century. I’m also excited to be able to learn about current events and see how people in the world are attempting to work together to fix  issues and discuss their concerns. Currently, I’m very interested with everything that’s happening in the Michael Brown case. I want to learn more about it and be able to decipher all of the facts. This has clearly been an issue in our country for a while now and something needs to be done in order for situations like this to be prevented in the future. On another note, I believe network engagement is defined as how you connect with people whether it be through social media or in person. It’s who you associate yourself with and who you want to engage with. Makdaddy is also in this class and we both share a precious kitty named Pippin…except he’s secretly a dog.
